The village of Angrie in the Maine-et-Loire department, is situated in the heart of the Loire Valley, known as the Cradle of the French Language for its linguistic purity and the Garden of France for its vineyards, fruit orchards and gardens. In 2000 the Maine-et-Loire was one of the Loire River Valley departments to be designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The region is also renowned for its vivid landscapes, big skies and luminous light which has attracted poets, writers, artists and painters for centuries.
